As soon as we receive your couriered parcel, our process begins with essential quality checks to ensure safety and integrity of your liquid gold. From your freezer to a shelf-stable powder you can use anytime, anywhere—here’s how it works:
- When Your Milk Arrives
- Temperature Check: We confirm your milk has remained frozen throughout transit. If it's not frozen, we unfortunately cannot proceed with freeze-drying, as safety and quality would be compromised.
- Bag Integrity: We inspect all milk bags to ensure they’re sealed properly, free of leaks or damage.
- Weight & Notes Review: We take careful note of the total volume received and review any special instructions or notes you’ve provided.
- Batch Logging: Your milk is tagged, recorded, and tracked throughout the entire process. We never pool or mix batches—what you send is what you get back.
- The Freeze-Drying Process
- Once your milk passes all checks, we begin the transformation using a gentle, medical-grade freeze-drying method designed specifically for preserving human milk.
- Here’s what happens inside the machine:
- 1. Deep Freezing: Your milk is first cooled to an extremely low temperature (well below -40°C) to ensure it's fully solid and primed for sublimation.
- 2. Vacuum Chamber: It then enters a vacuum environment. Here, the frozen water in the milk bypasses the liquid stage and turns directly into vapor—a process called sublimation.
- 3. Moisture Removal: The vapor is drawn away, leaving behind only the dry milk solids. This retains the milk’s nutritional content, immunological properties, and enzymes far better than traditional heating or drying methods.
- 4. Gentle Preservation: No heat is used, so the delicate fats, antibodies, and bioactive components stay intact—preserving the natural goodness of your breastmilk.
- Packaging & Return
- Once your milk is fully freeze-dried:
- The weight per bag is carefully calculated and measured. Your powdered gold is packaged in clearly labeled sachets—either single-feed or multi-feed sizes based on your preference.
- We include care instructions on how to store and rehydrate your milk safely.
- Your milk is returned to you via courier, ready to use, shelf-stable, and easy to transport.
